Experience

Rain Public Planning represents over 30-years service in Pennsylvania policing experience. Leading State Police Incident Command instruction, Risk & Vulnerability Assessments, Incident Management Team response, After Action Reporting, disaster management, major event planning, school safety planning, and site safety protection.

Events of Significance: Gubernatorial inaugurations, Frien Manhunt, Hurricane Sandy New Jersey deployments, Hurricane Irene response, G20 Pittsburgh communication,  significant criminal investigations, DOE Safe School Project, and PEMA statewide exercise support.

Public Safety Training:

Rain Public Planning is experienced in providing practical training in Incident Command, physical site security, multi-hazard identification, Emergency Operations Planning principles and practice, and exercise development.

Physical Security Assessments: 

Understanding where we are is critical to picturing a safer future. Rain Public Planning is skilled at conducting detailed assessments of current physical site security. 

Plan Assessments: 

With site security assessments, we also evaluate the structure of existing plans and policies. Our physical security and planning assessments are provided with proven and practical best practice recommendations. 

Multi-Hazard Risk Assessments: 

How practical is it to plan for every possible risk or hazard? Rain Public Planning is practiced in guiding schools through the difficulty of identifying, evaluating, and planning for more probable risks present in specific school environments.

Plan Development Support: 

Believing “planning prepares the planner,” RPP tutors teams through the process of building a Emergency Operations Plan compliant with national best practice guidance found in EOP Basic and Threat-Hazard Annex foundations.

Exercise Plan Development:

Likewise believing, “exercises, exercise the plan” we train teams to grow an ever developing process of testing, learning, and improving safety for your educational environment.
